I’ll give that a try tomorrow. I know they’ve been warned before and it hasn’t helped. Maybe a stiff fine would. He’s not the sharpest knife in the drawer and I can’t quite figure whether he just doesn’t get it or his dogs are just special. He seems rather amused when his dogs pee and poop in the neighbors’ yards. We have a leash law and everyone else abides by it.
My firewood ran out the first week of March, I think it was. We were still in the throes of winter and gas was still sky high so I had another cord delivered. A couple of weeks later spring temps arrived and I’ve only burned the stove once since. I have a nice little jump on next season. I probably should start thinking about getting another couple cords pretty soon, though.
I *must* remember to schedule a chimney sweep, too.
I called city hall and they don’t send out notices...they go knock on doors. Holy cow, that must be a horrible job. They deliver three warnings and then impose a whopping fine. I don’t know how many warnings the neighbor has received, that information is privileged. Hope this time it works.

You might consider calling animal control and seeing if they can give him an official warning or something.
I have a coworker whose neighborhood is overrun with pit bulls that are loose. The Post Office has stopped deliverying mail to her block, and she has to go to the P.O. to pick it up. The dog owners have been cautioned a few times, but they seem to forget easily.
Also, how did your firewood last over the winter?
