Cider Press Hill

All caught up

I am now all caught up with my five TiVoed episodes of 24. It took me three nights, but I did it. I can only watch a little at a time or my hands turn cold and clammy and my heart feels like it might fall out. The suspense is unreal. Now I can’t wait to see how Jack gets himself out this mess. And I hope the First Lady does the right thing, but I don’t think it will improve her life expectancy. Is Audrey’s father still alive? Somehow I think so. These people have more lives than a cat.

Next item…

The lad was passing through the living room when I paused at a DaVinci Code trailer (while I was scanning through another TiVoed program). I stopped to take a look and the lad stopped to watch my reaction.

“Wait,” I said. “Is that....who is that? That can’t be....”

“Yep,” the lad said, “It is.”

Tom Hanks!?

The lad wandered away snickering. He’s not a Tom Hanks fan.

I thought the movie might be fun to see. Although I enjoyed reading the book, it’s not exactly a literary masterpiece. I figured a well done movie would remove the distractions of crummy writing. Now I dunno. Whenever I see Tom Hanks I think of Big or Sleepless in Seattle.

A scholarly Tom Hanks with long hair? That’s not working for me.
