Cider Press Hill

Of clouds and snap judgments

I stopped by Accuweather to see what’s up in my neck of the woods today and discovered a new weather blog called Confessions of a Weathergirl. One of her recent posts offers simple descriptions of the various cloud formations with photographs. Very nicely done and easy to remember. Today, in my neighborhood, we have stratus clouds. And they’re spitting on us.

I have to admit that I was prepared to be catty about her after reading her most recent post, which struck kind of a vacuous chord with me. That’s the blog post entitled Confession. Comparing that with her bio, however, shows a much different perspective. She’s no slouch. How easy it is to make snap judgments based on only a few words.
