Making a geyser

So, I was listening to NPR this afternoon and heard about the NPR staff taking a bottle of warm diet coke outside and dropping a few Mentos into it. The result is rather magnificent. They even filmed it—for those of us who need visual directions. That is what grown ups do when they are bored at work.

Anyway, this being the first night of vacation, it seemed the appropriate celebratory activity. I bought a couple of bottles of warm diet coke and some Mentos and the lad and I went out in the back yard.

It works. It really does. What a hoot!

Once a bunch of us in the accounting department at the Club I worked at decided to stage a water-balloon fight across the street.  Adults can be just as silly as kids.

I wonder if Coca-Cola will notice a spike in sales this weekend.

Being silly as an adult seems to surprise kids for some reason, I’ve noticed.
