Notice of intent

Did those of you who have an account with blogrolling get an email announcing the new BubbleShare photo sharing site? It’s sort of like flickr, but, from what I see, I like BubbleShare better. It appears to be integrated with iPhoto and downloadable on iPod, which is a cool feature. Also audio captions available and better blog integration. Looks promising.

It’s about that time when redecorating the blog digs for the change of season is upon me. Nothing has come to mind yet, but I think I’ll spend the next few days noodling around to see if I can tap into some inspiration. Which is to say, I’m probably not going to post much. It’ll give me an opportunity to recharge my blog batteries. They’ve been running on low recently. Something about a new look seems to get the blog sap running again. Or maybe I’ll just wipe the slate clean and start with a blank white page and fool with it until something sticks. I dunno. The last time I did that, it drove everyone nuts, but it was still kind of fun to add one element at a time until it was finished.

The red winter skin will be pushed off the front page, but it’ll still be available as will the rest of the skins. I know that some of you favor different skins, so they’ll stay and those of you using them won’t notice a thing other than quietude.

I won’t be too far away and I’ll probably even post here and there. Because the minute I say I’m not going to post for a while is when interesting things start to happen.

Y’know...like calling my wood guy to order a cord of wood and having his wife answer the phone and demand to know who I am and then she goes off to fetch her husband and they start arguing and she is screaming at him and then a door slams and he comes to the phone while she picks up the extension and I identify myself and ask if he has any seasoned wood left and he sounds really relieved that it’s me and not someone else and then the wife hangs up the extension with a slam.

Y’think maybe I was mistaken for the other woman, real or imagined? That was very awkward.

Oh, he has seasoned wood left at a premium price and I’m getting a cord tomorrow morning. But it’s still a heck of a lot less expensive than heating with gas. I’m totally out now and man do I miss the wood heat.
