Ugh. That’s pretty cold for your neck of the woods, isn’t it? You really can keep it, though. Sharing is not necessary in this case. No really.

To waste, to destroy, our natural resources, to skin and exhaust the land instead of using it so as to increase its usefulness, will result in undermining, in the days of our children, the very prosperity which we ought by right to hand down to them amplified and developed. ~Theodore Roosevelt

The outside thermometer just hit 50°. At 7:00 in the morning! But all good things must come to an end. By the end of today, we’ll be back to piling on layers of clothing. And by tomorrow night we’ll sink to our lowest temperatures of the winter yet, maybe even cracking the negative numbers. And then we’ll all catch pneumonia. The weather gods are toying with us and it’s really not very nice.
Update (7:50am): There was one very bright spot this morning, however. Driving down the street, at a pretty brisk pace, an oncoming car frantically flashed its lights at me. I slowed right down and, around the next bend in the road, there was a police officer sitting on a side street waiting for someone to speed by. Thank you, whoever you are, you saved my behind this morning!
