She finally went out. The lad took her out and she was fine. I guess when she realized he wasn’t melting or blowing away, she figured it was safe enough for her. What a big baby.

To waste, to destroy, our natural resources, to skin and exhaust the land instead of using it so as to increase its usefulness, will result in undermining, in the days of our children, the very prosperity which we ought by right to hand down to them amplified and developed. ~Theodore Roosevelt

Our much-reported blizzard, which hasn’t blizzarded yet, just started a couple of hours ago. The snow isn’t falling too heavily and we only have about 4 inches on the ground. The snow plow just rumbled past and all the snow that was in the street is now piled into the end of my driveway—I’d say a good foot of snow. The thing is, the driver didn’t do the other side of the street so no one’s driveway is plugged full over there. I demand equal time for the neighbors! We’re going to be right cozy with the snow shovel by the end of the day.
Meanwhile, Terry greeted me with crossed legs and floating teeth this morning. She had to go so bad. But as soon as I opened the back door to let her out, she took one blast of icy wind and stinging snow flakes in the face and trotted right back to her bed. I togged her out in her winter duds, with the scarf wrapped around her ears and we tried again. Nope, she wasn’t buying it. Short of putting her inside a heated bubble, I don’t think she’s going to go out until I pick her up and toss her out the door. And then all she’ll do is stand by the door shaking and looking pitiful. I don’t know how long her bladder will hold out, but I think her stubborn streak is way stronger than her bladder. Terry is one dog who does not do snow storms.
She finally went out. The lad took her out and she was fine. I guess when she realized he wasn’t melting or blowing away, she figured it was safe enough for her. What a big baby.
