Well, it looks as if the storm just started here. I was hoping to wake up to a huge blanket of white stuff and wild goings-on, but apparently it hasn’t cranked into high gear here yet. There isn’t much more than a couple of inches right now and the road isn’t even completely covered. According to the national weather service, the worst isn’t due until noonish. I dunno. They’re still saying blizzard. We’ll see how blizzardy it gets.
The main concern seems to be the already abnormally high tide (full moon), and fierce winds. There is a coastal flood warning with 20 foot seas forecast. That’s going to cause some ripping damage out on Plum Island, which can’t afford much more damage before some houses start teetering on the brink.
Well I for one am glad we didn’t get much so far! I am sitting here drinking a cup of tea, tea. My mother drank all the coffee yesterday and was suppose to get more. She didn’t. She left and is spending the storm at T’s house. She went in and out about six times yesterday but, no coffee. I hope I can get E to get some when the plows come out. Ugh.
Oh you poor thing, being snowed in without COFFEE!!! In your shoes, I’d have broken out in a cold sweat by now. I wish I could send you some through the wires.
LOL. No cold sweats. I just had a lot of tea. It helps when someone cooks a big breakfast for you and, you find a bottle of champagne stuffed way back on the bottom shelf of your fridge!

NPR was warning me all morning (in their newscasts) about this storm. Did it happen?
