I haven’t had the impression that Abbie wants to get the ball out. She just loves to make it go in circles as fast as she can. And keep it rolling. But, yes, if the novelty begins to wear off, I’ll put it away for a while. This is the first toy she has really taken to, so I’d like to keep her interested in it as long as possible.
I want one! I want one!
No, I don’t have a cat… why do you ask?
LOL that is such a cute pic. My mom had one for her cats and they lost interest after a while. So taking it away once in a while is probably a good idea.
oh while I am thinking of it. Have you been Tvo-ing Bleak house. I keep missing it, dang it!
LOL Dave! May I suggest this for you? Much better than cat toys.
Yes, J. I’ve been recording Bleak House. The episodes are saved until I decide to delete them. Maybe I’ll even get around to copying them to a VCR cassette.

We have one of those for Joxer, and he’s as enamored of his as Abbie is of hers. The thing is, we have to take it away for a while, or he loses interest in it. So we leave it out for about a week, then hide it for a week. Then he thinks it’s a new toy. Otherwise, he finally realizes he’ll never get that ball and walks away from it.
