Cider Press Hill

Total addiction

kitty turbo scratcher toyAbout a week ago, I found one of these Turbo Scratcher cat toys on sale at KMart. I’d heard from others that their cats loved them. Now, Abbie ordinarily isn’t enthralled with commercial cat toys. She gives her little catnip mice a bat or two, more out of politeness than interest, and then wanders off. The catnip mice collect dust and eventually wind up in the trash can. But, I thought, this might have some possibilities. As recommended, I sprinkled a little catnip in the scratching pad area, which she loved. But it is that white ball that goes round and round and round that fascinates her. I’ve had the turbo scratcher on the floor by my desk for a week and Abbie loves it so much that she sleeps next to it, with a possessive paw touching it. Several times a day she gets that ball rolling around its track as fast as she can. She turns herself into pretzel shapes trying to find new ways to bat the ball around. The thrill just doesn’t seem to wear off. To my mind, this may be the most successful cat toy ever invented. Totally addictive and highly recommended. Very entertaining for a cat’s human, too.
