Nice Pictures! I miss the snow a little here in the Shenandoah Valley. I don’t miss the high fuel bills though.
mmmmmm !!
I like the bottom one best. Nice shots Kate.
Goes to show it’s always greener on the other side of the fence.
Snow is pretty and all, but those warm faux spring days that we had the last couple of weeks were growing on me. I mean...really growing on me. It was so easy to forget that this is winter...that I forgot this is winter. Returning to snow so suddenly is a little shocking to the system!
And I didn’t miss having to feed the wood stove every couple of hours, either.
Lynn, it always interests me which photos you like the best. It’s usually the exact opposite of what I thought were my best shots. The ones above were posted in the order of preference. I really liked the pine tree one. But now that I’ve looked at them for a while, I’m gravitating toward the last one, too. That one wasn’t composed at all, just a wild swing to the left and click. I couldn’t find any good way to crop it, so it’s there in all its pixel glory. It seems a little ragged to me, but it’s becoming the more interesting photo to my eyes.
Ah yes, the swing to the left and click, ... I know it well.
It’s my primary tatic !!
I think it would be very interesting to follow you and your camera around for a day, Lynn. Kind of a photo shoot of the photographer. I wanna see the one where you’re flat on the floor of a busy corridor with your camera lens a couple of inches away from the bug you’re intently photographing.
We just got another 2-3” of “snow showers!!” Started around 6AM and just now stopped. (Wednesday) The radio kept saying snow showers and these HUGE clumps--not even flakes--were falling from the sky. It was ever so pretty though and now all the trees are coated in white. Lovely. Now, though, I have to go out and it won’t be nearly as lovely!!
Yeah, what about those snow showers? They dumped a few more inches on us, too. And, once again, the plows were no where in evidence. I’m beginning to think that they’ve already used up their winter street cleaning allowance for the year. At least it wasn’t slippery out, but driving through 6 inches of heavy wet snow is a bit of an unwelcome challenge first thing in the morning.
Wossername - Thankyew.
Have you had any snow this year?
