A drop down menu without the borders. Works for me in FF 1.07.
Your next assignment: create the same navbar for your Arts & Crafts skin. That way, I’ll get to see it without having to switch over to this red thing.
Well pffffbbt.
I’m glad you’re using the Arts and Crafts though. I forget sometimes that you’re not all on the same page. But you’ve also got a few little gizmos over there that aren’t on the red page.
Anyway. This is the navigation bar I wanted when I made the red skin, but couldn’t figure out how to get the thing to work on IE. Until I found this tutorial. I love how people on the web are so willing to give away what they’ve spent hours and hours figuring out.
Certainly seems to work for me. I’m using Firefox as browser on an iBook G4 with OS X as my operating system.
Oh, by the way, I LOVE YOUR BLOG!
Eleanor, have I ever mentioned how much I love your gravatar? So distinctive and so darned cute!
Linkmeister and I, meanwhile, seem to have broken gravatars. What’s up with that?
Hey Pablo. Those are really nice words to read.
And I was wondering if the nav bar worked for Macs. Do you ever use Safari?
In my gravatar’s case, it’s may have been discovered by the cartoonist’s estate.
I don’t really think that, though.
Somewhere I thought I stumbled across an explanation that avatar users can get away with using copyrighted images because, under a certain pixel size, image use is legal. I know I read that, but I certainly wouldn’t stake anything important on the veracity. It was just one of those ‘oh, hm’ moments in passing.
IE 7? Windows Vista? Wha?? Some people get all the fun! I’ll be curious to see how IE7 does with web standards. Supposedly it will be a huge improvement. Is Vista really, really cool?? Tell!!
Doing the dope on Vista over on my tech blog. (http://geeksandwich.blogspot.com/)
Vista is pretty cool so far, with what would seem to be an over-abundance of security features. The UI is pretty slick, although since I’m running it on older hardware (Dell Latitude C640, you know, the one with all the hardware problems?), I’ve had to tone down the graphics considerably.
Pretty stable so far, although I’ve had a few difficulties installing. Keep in mind it’s still the Beta 2 build, so we’re still finding bugs to fix. At least that’s what I’m supposed to be doing…

Should happen, and does.
Slick and attractive indeed.
