Letting other people speak
I’m boring today, so I’ll let other people do the talking for me.
Walter Jeffries, of Sugar Mountain Farm, wrote a passionate piece about a new government policy that affects all farmers in this country who raise livestock. Even those who just have a horse or a couple of back yard chickens. I recall reading about the new policy, which requires all livestock owners to register their livestock and property so the animals can be followed by GPS technology, about a month ago and it kinda freaked me out then. Walter, a homesteader in Vermont, has written one of the best , most concise arguments against the policy that I’ve seen. Please go read it. If you haven’t stopped by Sugar Mountain Farm before, you definitely should. He writes an engaging blog and may be one of the most interesting people in the blogosphere.
Do check out Cindy’s blog at WoodSong. Ordinarily her blog entries are punctuated with her gifted photography. I think she’s having some technical problems this week. But her photo galleries seem to be just fine. She takes some of the most beautiful photographs of birds and other wildlife that I have *ever* seen. Her patience is apparently boundless. Taking bird photographs is not easy, but these are among the best. Her skill, artistry, and talent are amazing. See her Studies Gallery and her Softscapes Gallery. Stopping by her place is my daily mini-vacation.
That’s all for now. Go click. Be amused and amazed and enlightened.
