Project update

My room taming project is going a little slower than anticipated. The culling has been successfully completed, baseboards dusted and washed, and most everything else has been dusted and washed. Now comes the carpet cleaning which I’ll have to do in increments. There is about a third of the room with clear floor space. I’ll clean that section of carpet first. When it dries, then I can move my desk to that section and clean the area where the desk is now. After that dries, I can start moving the rest of the furnishings to their final locations and clean the large area where they’re currently piled up. All of that is going to take a few days.

When everything is in its proper place, I’ll paint the two small walls. It’ll be easier that way.

Then it’ll be time to go get the bookcases. Since this is what I’m driving:

Echo

I’ll have to depend on the good graces of someone else to go to IKEA with me to drag the bookcases home.

I have a friend with a large SUV who thinks a trip to IKEA sounds like a day of fun. However, she doesn’t think she can manage it next week, so it looks as if I have plenty of time to get this room straightened around. I’ll be awfully glad when it’s finished, though. I can’t find anything or get into my closet!
