Cider Press Hill

Doesn't look like progress to me.

Day One into the project. It’s a larger one than I realized. How can one room hold so much stuff??!

I forgot there is at least one bookcase worth under the bed.

What I’ve rediscovered: When you want to get rid of stuff without a backward glance, take on a massive project. About two hours into it, pitching things into the trash/give-away bag is a lot easier than trying to figure out what to do with it all. Scarce space is best reserved for things that matter. I am ruthless, hear me roar.

The more I do, the worse it looks. At some point, the trend will reverse and then I’ll know that I’m truly making progress. I haven’t even come close yet.

I’m trying to remind myself that this is fun. This is fun...this is fun...this is fun.

It’s not, but I have a mental photograph, of the end result, tacked on my mind’s bulletin board.

The end result will be fun. I live for the moment.
