Didn’t Christmas used to be less complicated? Gift certificates! The ideal solution. While lovely to have something to actually open, gift certificates make Christmas last longer. And the recipient gets exactly what s/he wants. Makes sense, but I haven’t been able to get past the ‘gotta have something neat to open’ hurdle.
Oh, me too. I give ‘em, but I had an idea this year: I bought some CD jewel cases, put the GCs inside those, and wrapped the cases. Solves the “something to wrap” problem and not incidentally the “oops, I lost that little credit-card-sized piece of cardboard” tragedy.
Well this post is something we can talk about over vacation! How things change LOL.
J - Yeah, some things change.
Linkmeister - great idea! I happen to have a couple of spare jewel cases up on the shelf. I’ll put them to good use.

Be assured you’re not alone in this “which presents where and how do we avoid the ‘give away the secret’ “ trauma. My sister and her family open at their house and then come over here around 9:00am to open more. Makes life interesting.
