Today is Winter Solstice 2005. The solstice occurred at 1:35 pm Eastern and that means Spring Is On The Way! That’s a dance around the room and kick up your heels moment. Tomorrow the day will be longer than today. It’ll be longer the next day and the next day. The sun will grow stronger and stronger. In theory, summer will be our reward for these dark days of winter. In theory...if it doesn’t rain all summer, with heat enough to melt human bones. Weather. Can’t live with it, can’t live without it.

Today is also National French Fried Shrimp Day.

And on this day in 1937, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs opened in Los Angeles.

Today would also be a good day to Impeach a President.
