Lazy Day

Sometimes doing nothing wins the day. It was a lazy day in this house. The lad played video games and I took naps while attempting to watch a couple of movies on the tube. Then I tried to read and fell asleep doing that, too. In fact, it was so lazy in this house that I didn’t even build a fire in the wood stove. The magical dial on the wall beckoned and I answered its call—but with some reserve. It’s only set at 62°, but with a turtleneck, tee shirt, and sweat shirt on, I’m warm enough.

Lights are still not up on the front of the house, either. I’m sort of tempted to feel guilty, but haven’t gotten there yet. Sometimes lazy days are just what the body and soul require.
