HAHA! You’ve never had 8 O’Clock coffee before?!!!
I was actually going to suggest it to you in your last coffee post, but figured you must have already had it, because it’s pretty common, and fairly cheap.
The same pal who put me onto the Alterra coffee is the same one who recommends 8 O’Clock to everyone who wants something cheap they can find at the grocery store.

Yes, I’ve had Eight O’Clock before, Chloe, but not for a long, long, long time. It sort of fell off my radar since I haven’t purchased coffee at the grocery store in years. But I’m finished with Dunkin Donuts ground coffee and needed something to tide me over til the next trip to Trader Joes.
Kate, I have been buying 8 O’Clock since I got my “grind and brew” coffee pot a few years ago. Started mostly out of laziness cause it was what my supermarket carries in beans except for their own brand which is AWFUL!! Periodically, I would buy DD beans, but they are ridiculously expensive and I really, really don’t like Starbucks. I get the brown bag though--100% columbian and prefer it to the regular one. Try it and see?
BTW, I was positive you could order TJ’s online, I swear I saw it somewhere, but obviously I was wrong as you checked...they need to offer that!! Or else!!
Yes, DD is expensive! I used to stock up when they had their Thanksgiving to New Year sale, two for the price of one. But it only lasted until about March. Something changed in the last year or so...I swear they’ve changed their roasting methods. The coffee just doesn’t taste the same and I don’t like it very much anymore.
I’ll give the Eight O’Clock Colombian roast a try. Says it’s a medium roast with a fully rich and round flavor with a lingering sweet finish. That sounds nice.
Question Cyn...can you take your grind and brew coffee maker apart to clean the grinder parts?
My code word is *blizzard*. Noooooooo!
You probably haven’t had it since I moved to Ca LOL. It is the ONLY other coffee I will buy other than TJ’s! The ex would drink nothing but 8 O’Clock coffee.
