I’m surprised that the school allows the students to transport themselves on their own. in our district (because of some unfortunate accidents of kids driving themselves to games and such) everyone had to ride the bus or with a parent.
Yes, J, it is rather cold out today. I had to drag out my down coat this morning. That says winter to me. Wish we could squeeze out a few more warm days.
Pablo - Almost all the kids ride the bus to away meets, but for one reason or another, someone will drive occasionally. There is an age factor...eighteen year olds are allowed to drive if they clear it with the coach, but permission is needed if anyone under the age of eighteen rides with the driver. This is only second time the lad has ridden with someone to a meet (not counting the time he missed the bus and I had to haul him into Boston...). The first time was with the coach’s son last year and I had to give permission. I think a Bus Only rule would be preferrable and I am a little surprised that there isn’t one carved in stone.
