You’re much further ahead than I am. There was a time when all my shopping was done by mid-October. Those days are long gone. Now I seem to wait longer each year. And if not for the internet, it might not ever get done. I haven’t been in a mall during the Christmas season in several years. No wait, I was last year because I had to do something unrelated to Christmas. And I looked at all the displays and wondered who gets all that stuff and do they really want it? It just struck me as a bunch of stuff that people get when they don’t know what else to get and they have to get something.
That sounds pretty humbug-ish, doesn’t it?
Thanksgiving is the day you have to get through before Black Friday, right?
I haven’t quite forgotten Thanksgiving...I have to come up with a positively scrumptious dessert and it can’t be pie. No inspiring ideas have clobbered me yet.
Um do you get the Lad for Thanksgiving?
And it just wouldn’t be Christmas if I wasn’t a lunatic come Dec 24th LOL. Though, running around getting last minute things in shorts and a T-Shirt in 75- 80 degree weather is not such a burden. I might need to rethink my strategies this year LOL!
I heard we’re supposed to get a blizzard right around Christmas. Just sayin…
You didn’t answer my question, do you have the lad for Thanksgiving this year?
Nope, he’ll be with the Dad. Grandma is coming up for the week so he’ll spend a couple of days there. He’ll probably come back on Saturday—he has a big project to finish up for school.
I already have my tree up.
hehe.
And I’m in the process of “making” some christmas presents.
Actually I’m running behind schedule with that.
