...and a Happy Halloween to you, too!! Put a white spot on your cat’s neck and it would look exactly like my little Georgie porgie looked like!! I must get another, I miss him so much!!
What a gorgeous day we are having here. I am almost tempted to head up to your neck of the woods and take one last walk along the water before the really bad weather appears. But I guess I really need to hunker down and do some of the things I have been neglecting here. Oh well, it was a good thought..........
We have gotten anywhere from 50 to over 200 kids here for Halloween night. I never know how many to plan for.....so I plan for the high end, try to be really, really good and only buy that which I do NOT like so I can give away whatever is left without any pangs, but that never works… I hear those almond joys and peanut butter cups calling my name...hell, who am I kidding, they are SHOUTING my name!!
We haven’t had as many kids the past couple years. Maybe because it was Freeeezing out. Being so warm today (currently 70°), I’ll plan on seeing a larger crowd. Which means...I should probably go buy some candy. The good stuff that I like, too. Because, I’ll nibble while the kids are coming to the door. Toward the end, I’ll dump all that’s left into a big bowl and leave it on the front porch steps. The older kids come around after the little ones are mostly finished and hoover up all the remainders.
This little kitty looks a bit like the one my parents had when I was really little. I don’t recall that he had any markings except for a few white hairs at the end of his tail. Every chance I got (when my mother wasn’t looking) I dragged him all over the place and probably none too gently. But he was very patient with me. Not that he didn’t try to run before I had the opportunity.

Well I guess tonight is the night for you! Do you get a bunch of kids there still? We did the whole Beggar’s Night last night in Maine at my brothers. It was so warm (thank gawd) out. It was pretty neat to. They start out at the community center and parade through town to kick off the start.
