I seldom remember to take my camera with me when I go out to run errands. Then I see something and wish I’d brought it. Today I took it along with me. And I saw stuff!
The fluffy clouds against the vivid blue sky are such a rare sight, I wanted to capture it for posterity. For those days when I forget what blue sky looks like. I hadn’t noticed the weather vane on the rooftop when I took the picture. Sailing vessel weather vanes are pretty common around here.

This scene just made me feel good—a couple of Vermonters having a honeymoon in our neck of the woods. It’s a happy picture. I wish the couple many years of happiness.

This was an experiment. While driving over one of the main bridges, near where I live, I opened the camera lens, held the camera up in the general direction and snapped. I hoped it would turn out. Sometimes I think my pictures turn out better when I don’t aim and compose. This is one of the sights I see a few times a week. Now that it’s recorded in a picture, I can take some time to examine what it is I see on the fly. It’s pretty out there.
Next entry: Stars. I saw some.
Previous entry: It's big, anyway.
