That pose just cracked me up. But it’s so in keeping with his personality.
That picture is really nicely done. The setting is dramatic, but no so that it takes away from the central point of the photo.
I’d forgotten how my boys’ pants used to gap like that in the back. Funny.
Every time I see that picture the snippet of Frost’s poem runs through my mind—“the woods are lovely, dark and deep.”
It was at least another couple of years before his jeans fit properly. There was either too much waist room or not enough butt room. Little kids are shaped differently than bigger kids, but the jeans patterns don’t seem to take that into account.
That’s a darling picture. I’ll bet it seems like you just took it last week, and now he’s fixing to finish high school.
You’re right, Terrilynn. It doesn’t seem very long ago at all. I remember that day very clearly. We had such fun taking the pictures. How the years have rushed by.
OMG, that is my most favorite pic of him. You do still keep one on the microwave right? You can’t see it but he had the most adorable little tail in those days people!
And please put a warning sign up when posting that pic of that dang spider again! Shivers.
LOL. A hair tail. Not the other kind. I still have it in a little box, by the way. Braided and very, very blond.
And yep, the pic is still on top of the microwave.

Um, he’s got a real future posing for Playgirl, draped across that rock.
