Fifteen years in five
Here we have the official portrait of President Bush
when he began his presidency in 2000.
And here we have a working portrait of the prez this past weekend.
That’s a lot of aging in five years.
No, really, it wasn’t meant to be mean. Just a matter of fact. Almost every president ages dramatically in office. Some more than others. I think the one that shocked me the most was Abraham Lincoln. Photos of him campaigning and a portrait of him toward the end of his presidency almost showed two different men. Each president may have different burdens to carry, but it clearly shows in their faces after a term. With that kind of stress, it makes you wonder why anyone would want to be president.

Kinda reminds me of the story of Dorian Grey (sp?), ... except in reverse, the portrait stays young and the man ages ... (It sounded good in my head

LOL, you are so mean! Ya ask E what five years can do. I don’t know who is trying to keep up with who LOL. For those who don’t know, my BF hold a strong resemblance to GW unfortunately but, he’s literate, intelligent, sophisticated....... should I go on Kate? LOL
And no pity party thank you! I don’t really see it (thank gawd) but most everyone else does. I am actually scared to be around him in large cities. Afraid some shooter might miss him and hit me LOL.
