Cider Press Hill

Snarl

I am just plain disenchanted with internet providers. It doesn’t seem to me that I’m that difficult to please, but I really do object to being scammed.

This month’s Verizon bill says my DSL package jumped in price. The middle tier seems to have been eliminated. The one that said I was paying for up to 1.5 Mbps DSL speed since that’s all I’m provisioned for. Even at that, it’s an extraordinary day when I can even break 800 kbps. For the most part, I don’t mind. It’s usually fast enough for my needs.

But, now I’m paying the same monthly fee as those fortunate people who get 3.0 Mbps DSL speeds even though I’m only provisioned for half that and only get half what I’m provisioned for.

Is that fair? Hell, no.

I’ve argued until I’m purple and it does no good. Take it or leave it, basically.

I hate that attitude.
