I thought I would probably be remiss if I didn’t at least nod in the direction of New York, Washington, and Pennsylvania on this anniversary of the September 11 attacks. I also thought it would be in poor taste to say what I think about all that has transpired since and should simply say, may those who died continue to rest in peace. But you know, considering that Washington is throwing a stinkin’ 9/11 party today, with a country music concert no less, I don’t know why I shouldn’t vent. But I won’t. It doesn’t seem like a party kind of day, does it?

I thought about reprising a photo of the Pentagon, but I’m so angry with its civilian management and its ultimate boss that I didn’t.

I respect the dead a whole lot more than the people who are and have been exploiting their deaths do.
