Thanks, Pablo. I’m not too far away, but I just don’t have anything to say right now. Those who know me would cock an eyebrow and remark on what a rare event that is. ;) I expect I’ll be back up to speed in the near term.
Thank you for sharing the NOLA pictures. They are, especially now, quite special.
I have to agree with Karan about your pictures.
Hurry back, we’ll all be waiting, and not necessarily patiently. :-P

I find it hard to understand how this administration continues to receive any support.
Where’s the outrage? Please continue expressing yours, Kate.
Their support appears to be waning, Dave. I hope it continues. But with Rove all fired up into high gear today, who knows. He lies like a rug and gets away with it. But maybe this week has changed some things.
I loved those articles. Wasn’t Rich fantastic? I am a Rice fan, no question, nevertheless I can’t help thinking her editorial leaned on romanticism. In the main I agree that the city has a unique mix of cultures and races that don’t fit the supposed norms of the rest of the country. But grinding poverty isn’t romantic and I can’t agree with her complacency about it. I think there are a lot of unwritten rules in old, established southern culture that we don’t really understand and it has sort of been exposed in an ugly way to the rest of the world all of a sudden. I don’t think it’s something that can be explained easily.

If you’re taking a blogging breather, I hope you will find your way back soon. I look forward to your posts each day. I know what you mean about the frustration. Keep the faith, Sister, and know there are people out there eager for your return.
