To waste, to destroy, our natural resources, to skin and exhaust the land instead of using it so as to increase its usefulness, will result in undermining, in the days of our children, the very prosperity which we ought by right to hand down to them amplified and developed. ~Theodore Roosevelt

I’ve noticed that, while I’ve officially severed ties with Comcast and canceled my accounts with them, I’m still receiving email addressed to my various old Comcast email addresses. This afternoon I tried to sign on to the Comcast web mail and whaddya know. My email accounts are still active.
I called Comcast to inquire if this meant I was still going to be charged for service and they insisted that I’ve been terminated and am no longer a customer. I said, “But I can sign on and get email and send email.”
“No, you can’t,” the customer rep said. “You aren’t on our computer system.”
Well, yes, I most certainly am. And I’d sure hate to get a bill in the mail for it when they finally figure it out. No, really, I want it to be gone. I want them to leave me alone and stop sending me offers and the monthly newsletter and junk mail. I want them to cancel my account all the way. Why is this so difficult?
