Cider Press Hill

Fire burn and cauldron bubble...

As surely as I breathe, I am the embodiment of the Wicked Witch of the West today. The lad is walking on too many eggs to make comment. But I have his backside in motion doing work today. There are just two weeks before school begins and we ARE going to start the year with a clean slate. His junk in all portions of the house will disappear into their rightful places. His room will be cleaned right down to the baseboards. The Wicked Witch means business today and the nice Mom with the soft voice just wasn’t getting the job done.

We probably shouldn’t get into what triggered this personality change this morning, but it certainly captured his undivided attention. And he’s stepping lively. I really did blow a couple of gaskets this morning. That’s unusual for me, but there comes a point when Mom deafness sets off a spectacular display of fireworks.

For the next order of business, I believe we will work a little Fly Lady magic on the lad. One baby step at a time. Life skills, dontcha know. I would be remiss if I didn’t before he’s launched....
