Verizon update

So, after my internet cruising speed hit 21k download last evening, I finally called Verizon. There is definitely an overload brought on by so many new customers this month. The Cambridge trunk office is down. They are working very hard to add capacity fix it, but the upgrades (and repairs) won’t be completed until (at least) the 27th. So, it’s a case of being really patient for the next couple of weeks an undetermined length of time. Meantime, they said, here, have a free month on us. We appreciate your business and want you to stay.

Free is a good price. I can live with that for a couple of weeks.

I’m just taking a walk down memory lane, connecting at 28k modem speeds that I haven’t used in...oh...about 10 or 11 years. It’s pure nostalgia!
