Which is not surprising since he created The Sims, didn’t he? He looks like Mortimer Goth too. Man, Mortimer & Bob Newbie, that brings back memories - i couldn’t seperate those 2, always fooling around. Trip Hawkins might be straight, but Mortimer Goth sure wasn’t. haha.

I read that blog post a while ago, Dave. I can’t say that I was surprised by it. Wage slaves seem to be a part of the make-up of high tech industries. I’m glad that this story got some traction and, apparently, some results. In the main, however, I don’t suppose it has much effect on the average game user. It should, but probably doesn’t.
Yeah, I’ve heard about EA games wage slaving & whatnot. I guess that’s pretty much the norm in all big business these days though.
The thing is… it’s not surprising that would happen at a game company. I mean, games are addictive… Of course it doesn’t occur to drug addicts where their drugs are coming from, for example.
Not that I think video games are as bad as heroin. I’m just relating the nature of the phenomenon.
