Cider Press Hill

Quiet day on the ranch

The sun is shining brightly, the temperature is 45°, the snow is melting...rapidly. And there is not a flake of snow in the forecast for the next week. It’s dangerous to make these statements publicly since the weather gremlins are always listening. But it is spring-ish this week. The deal breaker is that I haven’t smelled the ocean yet. When that happens, spring is officially here. But I’ll be more than happy to accept this weather while we wait.

I’ve been out and about town without a jacket today. My car is warm from the sun. It’s balmy outside. The freedom of movement sans jacket is simply delicious. I want more of this!

Nothing much exciting going on here. Therefore, a rather bland blog entry. Sometimes bland is a nice change of pace.

The harbingers of exciting times ahead started fluttering around the kitchen last night. Those moths are back. I didn’t get them all the last time. That means, in about a month or so (maybe sooner), we may have a cavalcade of worms marching across the kitchen ceiling again. This time, I’m tempted to call the exterminator as much as I dislike the idea.
