The weird thing is, that I neglected to mention...at some point this morning they left for work and apparently only took one car (they both work in town somewhere). Rather than park the other car in the driveway, they put it right back in front of their driveway where it was all last night.
So no one was home. I actually did go over and knock on the door first. But no one was there. The dog just barked and barked and barked.
So I don’t get it.
Or maybe they don’t like the idea of me backing out of my driveway and partially into theirs so that I can navigate a turn without bumping into their other car on the street.
I dunno.
Reminds me of the guys we have across the street, which we refer to as ‘Bubba-Land’. They’re the Safe Auto of homeownership. Minimum possible effort in everything. My drive has been clear for several days now. Theirs was never touched.
The thing about dealing with these people (and the point of this comment) is that, no, they probably won’t get it until they lose something significant to them, or it costs them too much money. And even then, if it’s just too difficult to get the car in the drive, this kind of person would rather pay the whatever-hundred it costs to get the car back than bother putting the car where it goes. Again, they feel it’s less effort.
They don’t get it, I don’t get them. Who knows. Good move in calling the police, though. I wonder, if you kept doing that, if they’d start getting fined as well as losing their car. That’d get their attention, I bet. I’d do it. Then again, I’m evil.
I felt pretty evil this morning, too. ;)

Were they at home to observe your difficulties and/or to see their car towed? If so, how could they not respond in some way?
This is beyond moronic, beyond stupid.
