Stinky looks nothing like I imagined; he’s positively stately.
Even when he was living on the streets, Stinky had that certain elegance about him. And that luxuriously rich gray coat.
Though I must say that the photo artfully conceals the ample belly that he didn’t used to have. He’s definitely a man of leisure now.
Yes, Stinky’s name misrepresents his essential stateliness and elegance. It took quite a while to realize that underneath that handsome and elegant exterior, he is really a timid kitty who needs to be needed. He’s a creampuff way deep down, but he doesn’t want anyone to know it. Except during thunderstorms or fireworks. Or when the vacuum cleaner roars.
About 50% of the time I simply call him ‘Handsome’ and he recognizes that as his name. But the other 50% of the time he still responds warmly to ‘Stinky’.
Stinky has, most definitely, adjusted well to retirement. Quite a bit of extra girth that he happily acquired, bite by yummy bite.
Stinky and Abbie are both very different cats in temperament and personality, but I really couldn’t choose one over the other. In the vein of cats make a home complete, we have achieved it with these two.
Popping by to wish you a very Happy, Healthy and Prosperous 2005 ... {{hugs}}
