LOL! I’m running out of ‘up high’ places to stash things. What I could use is a pantry with a door on it!
I had a pup for many years who was death to anything with feathers. Live birds included, I might add. And since I did have a couple of live birds in the house, that was a special challenge. She did, as I recall, completely destroy a feather duster, at one point, and when I came home and saw feathers all over the place, my heart lodged in my throat, for the first few seconds, until I realized the feathers weren’t the right size or color for the still living birds.
Trust me, pantries with doors are overrated as dogproof. Tigger pokes the door until it opens an inch or so, then wedges her nose inside and pushes.
We’ve never kept birds, but I can imagine the shock and fear that must have created.
Well, okay. So much for the pantry idea which isn’t going to happen anytime soon, anyway. I guess the dishwasher is a good place for storing dishwashing brushes. Besides, they could use a good scrub in the dishwasher every now and again.
Tigger does a dog proud in the being resourceful department! Terry is very proud to be a member of the same species. ;)
The pup I mentioned was named Mavis. A little blonde fuzzy terrier mix who was named for a diner waitress in a television commercial. She is worthy of a few stories herself. She was probably responsible for the first dozen or so grey hairs in my head. Still...the best dog ever.

Tigger doesn’t care about brushes, but woe be to the person who doesn’t put the feather duster six feet off the ground (above the dryer is ideal).
