Storm watch

According to the weather bureau, this is what a winter storm watch looks like. It’s black. How dramatic! It never fails to startle me when I see this. Why not a blanket of white...as in snow?

I think this is supposed to be one of those classic nor’easters. It’s anyone’s guess whether we’ll get snow or rain, being so close to the coast and the edge of the watch area. Weather persons have been agonizing over this all week.

The top thought on the kids’ minds is SNOW DAY. I’m not holding my breath, though. A Snow Day around here requires at least a foot of snow. That doesn’t look likely. Maybe a 2 hour delay, max.
