I don’t know what it is. I tell myself that the house is just as warm at 67 degrees in the winter as it is in the summer. Exact same temperature. But my body doesn’t buy it at all. If I dressed in fleece and flannel on a 67 degree day in summer I’d die. But in the winter my teeth still want to chatter.
OK, I lied it was 74 yesterday. I was freezing! Can you believe it?
You remember when I was out there and for the first couple of days I thought your evening temperatures were lovely and wandered around in shorts and tee shirts while the rest of you were in jackets and long pants? By the end of the week I was cold, too. It’s what you get used to. If my days were over 100 degrees, I’d think 74 was freezing, too!

Isn’t it funny that our bodies do this to us. When I was back there last it was a little nippy, but I was able to go without a jacket most of the time. If it goes below 70 out here I am freezing my but off! Our bodies can tell fake heat from natural heat?
