It's like this

The last week has been depressing from a political standpoint. I’m sad and scared, like a lot of other people in the world right now. But complaining about it here isn’t really going to change anything and I’m not even sure that I can manage to talk about it for another four years without losing my mind.

I’ve turned off the television and the radio. For the next couple of days I’m going to do other things. Read, play, work, and probably make a pretty design for this place. Because I could use some extra pretty. If anything untoward happens to the earth in the meantime, be sure to email me, but otherwise I don’t want to know what’s going on outside my immediate surroundings.

When I pop back online, maybe something different will happen around here. Not promising, but maybe. At least I’d like to strive for more cheer. Or grace. Or kindness. Or something else that’s missing in the world right now.

Look, as dark as things may seem to you now, THE RED SOX WON THE WORLD SERIES!!

The big meteor could hit Cape Cod tomorrow and I’d die a happy, HAPPY man.

AH-HA........you asked for something pretty and what happened?  SNOW--we, too have somewhere in the vicinity of 4-6” of it in our yard and on top of my car (the people who live here and PROMISED to finish cleaning out the garage so my car could go in are gonna hear about this!!).  So, I guess we can thank you for this.  From Kate’s mouth to someone’s ear!!  Oh well, it is prettier than the news has been.  Red Sox, Patriots, 2 out of 3 aren’t that bad, I guess!!  HAve a great day....

Hey wait a minute. I didn’t mention anything about snow when I mentioned needing something pretty. Oh no. Not me. I’m still waiting for the summer we never had. And now it’s snowing????  I had to put my boots on this morning. Yuucccccck!

If I had your garage, I’d be pitching stuff out into the snow left and right. Car has first dibs. Personal effects sitting in the snow can be a real motivator. ;)
