Cider Press Hill

Two is better than one

I dragged out the bag of rawhide chews a while ago. They are generally rainy day and deep winter treats for the dogs—something to help keep them occupied when the weather is too crummy to go outside.

I handed one to Peeps and he scurried back to his bed to gnaw on it.

I handed one to Terry and she promptly nosed it under her blanket and looked at me expectantly. I handed her another one and she began to gnaw on it, while keeping a paw over the blanket where she’d shoved the other one.

There was a distinct thought process involved in that behavior.
