Kool-Aid

Last evening the lad had an animated polical discussion with his Dad. Quite animated, though in good humor. They each accused each other of drinking the Kool-Aid and the rhetoric flew around the house like mad.

The lad carries a pad of paper and pen around with him when they have political ‘discussions’. He takes notes and jots down ideas. At one point he scribbled furiously, ripped off the sheet and handed it to me.

“Dad thinks that CNN is Liberal!!!!!

Dad thinks that Wolf Blitzer is Liberal!!!!!

Keep your screams to yourself!!!!!!”

Of course, I didn’t. But I also laughed.

No hard feelings between the two, but they sure have their talking points refined to a science. It’s an exercise in futility, though. Neither is going to budge an inch. I wish the lad could have voted this year.
