Looking again, the noun is “call,” the principal adjective is “pleasant,” and “most” modifies the adjective. I think you were right the first time.
Harking back to diagramming sentences on chalk-dusted blackboards, I am.
Yeah, pleasant is one of those pleasant, pleasanter, pleasantest kind of adjectives. So says my dictionary, anyway. So under what conditions are they supposed to be used? And when is it appropriate for most to modify pleasant? Diagramming sentences is not my strong suit, that is for sure. My natural inclination is to write what I did the first time. Obviously.
Like I am even going to get into this conversation! I am enjoying my spell check for firefox, now I wish they would come out with one that would put commas and the such were they are suppose to be LOL!

"Most pleasant” is certainly more pleasing to my ear than “pleasantest.” I’m not entirely sure the latter is even a word. There’s some rule about adverbs modifying adjectives or something.
