Comcast strikes again

Comcast sent someone over to the house yesterday morning. Apparently they had to remove something from the side of the house that had allowed either the digital cable or the digital telephone (or both) to work. The thing is, I didn’t know they were coming. So later, when I let Terry outside, she sailed right on out the opened gate...that they left open. And when Terry gets loose, it’s a heck of a project getting her back. She clocks about 40 mph when she gets up a good head of steam. So I chased her all over the neighborhood. Finally caught her. She was having such a good time, too.
And then I noticed that they left the covers off a couple of the boxes attached to the side of the house. I’m not sure what the boxes do, but I don’t imagine drenching rains did the wiring much good. I put those back together and went in to call Comcast and tell them what I thought. They were kind of snotty about it. I was told that it wasn’t the technician’s responsibility to close gates behind him. That’s the customer’s responsibility. As for the boxes? Well, I put the covers back on, so what’s the problem?
I told the rep. that maybe it’s a good thing I severed the relationship with them if that’s how they feel about their customers. Sheesh.
