The President didn’t waste time recess appointing John Bolton as UN Ambassador, did he? What a great day when the president gives the finger to Congress (and the world, again) and appoints a thug to represent the US. Says Bush, Bolton “believes passionately in the goals of the United Nations charter: to advance peace and liberty and human rights.” What a crock.

The question that I have now is: Does John Bolton have diplomatic immunity in the US as an ambassador to the UN? I haven’t been able to find anything that answers my question for US diplomats to the international body, which happens to reside on US soil. If he had diplomatic immunity, would that prevent him from being indicted or prosecuted (or testifying) in anything Plame related? I hope not.
