Well now. Kate is feeling sassy this morning after a long and lovely night’s sleep.
My eyelids began a serious droop around 8:30 last night and after fighting it for an hour, I finally said the heck with it and dived into the blankets. Woke briefly at 2:30 and sighed in happiness—still four hours left. Glanced at the clock at 4:00 and burrowed in deeper with another sigh of contentment.
Five minutes before the alarm was set to go off, I snickered at it and shut if off before it could squawk at me. I do believe my schedule is finally back on track and that poor browbeaten morning person that I try so hard to deny is emerging. That’s alarming in a way. I am so not a morning person, yet it was with great relish that I greeted the morning.
The joy of being fully functional in the early AM —without feeling as if a truck just ran over me—is almost worth caving in to morning person hood. Well, yes it is. Still, in a perfect world, I’d be able to be my true night person without feeling as if a truck had just run over me in the morning.
Oh, and there were lovely dreams. I remember them for once. I traveled the world and also solved a CSS coding problem. I can’t believe I dreamed about code.
